About 

Dr. Narbi Price is a Hartlepool born, multiple award-winning painter. He was the Journal Culture Awards Visual Artist of the Year 2018, the winner of the Contemporary British Painting Prize 2017 and was a prizewinner in the John Moores Painting Prize 2012. He is the guest curator of together ‘Century – Hartlepool: 100 Years of Art’.

Narbi will talk through his personal journey of (re) discovery when considering the collection of artwork, and artefacts held in the archives, and putting together the exhibition. He will consider history of the gallery, and highlight key pieces from the show.
